It started with a pretty simple idea — our community needs a pool closer than a 30 minute drive each way. But as we engaged the community and listened to what people actually needed, a clearer and bigger picture emerged. The Snoqualmie Foothills has no year-round space where people can come together, stay active, and support one another’s wellbeing. A place for kids, seniors, families, and neighbors — not just somewhere to swim, but somewhere to belong.
Northeast King County is booming — but our recreation infrastructure has not kept pace.
A thriving year-round sanctuary where generations unite—from seniors in morning aquatic aerobics to children mastering life-saving skills, from teens finding belonging in youth programs to families creating memories together. This center will not just serve our community; it will strengthen the very fabric of our rural identity.

The “Minimum Lovable Product” (MLP) approach is focused on building an essential, functional facility that meets the community’s most critical needs first. Rather than waiting years for a perfect, fully-featured facility, the idea is to create something that is viable and operational more quickly.
After discussion with many other facilities, we do not believe this operational approach is well-suited for our project. We intend to pursue a thorough feasibility study to understand our community’s long-term needs and build plans to meet those needs.
